Hahhaaha I have that inside my house. The fans/cooling need some mods. But don't they have some nuisance laws over there?
Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.

Well played.
I have chosen to dip down the Rd a few times when an 18wheeler pulls in idiling 20 feet from me.
The places I've been sleeping lately are insanely quiet. National forest central Idaho shoulder season. Beyond silent.

I’m just wondering why an average, or even above average person cares how individual stocks are doing.
Unless you have a substantial portfolio I’d be investing any important money in index funds.

Index funds would have you investing in the military industry, big tech companies, oil and gas etc. All things the cult members criticize and therefore can’t invest in without exposing themselves as hypocrites.
Do you know how much fuel an aircraft carrier uses? How much energy goes into powering Christmas lights?

Anything else you're interested in collecting?
I think the ultimate non-fungible asset is to be the person who paid the least ever for one of DJT's NFTs. Can the block chain make this possible?
You guys should be working on that. Customers are guaranteed because those guys at the Guinness book are inadequate to my needs. Digitaldeath may try to outbid me, but I'm confident in my abilities.A woman came up to me and said "I'd like to poison your mind
with wrong ideas that appeal to you, though I am not unkind."

This seems bad.

Yeah, the US economy is uniquely bad:

Wait... I meant uniquely good, or at least much, much better than anywhere else.
(Note the follow up comment that this actually portrays the US economy in a -worse- light because the US inflation is in CPI whereas the other economies inflations are measured in ‘harmonized CPI’. That would bring US inflation in that chart down to 2-2.5%.)

I have no idea. I’ll wait to see what the experts actually have to say.
That said, while it’s obviously not good, it’s also one quarter.
But given that the US is currently in much better shape than everywhere else, it seems highly unlikely that there’s some policy fix that could significantly improve things here.

Here’s one:
”I’m perplexed by the sell-off in stock and bond markets in response to today’s GDP report for the 1st quarter. The increase in real GDP was a bit softer than I had expected, but only a bit, and the report remains consistent with the economy growing at its potential. The weaker than expected growth was largely the result of a bigger increase in the trade deficit, driven by more imports. Consumers were the key source of growth, albeit a tad less than expected. Perhaps markets are reacting to the strong increase in the consumer expenditure deflator, but unsure what, as the increase isn’t that much stronger than expected, certainly not enough to have any meaningful bearing on whether the Fed will begin cutting rates.”
